This Cayman has just arrived at here at our facility! Freshly installed, is the prototype twin-turbo set-up by IMA Motorsports, located in Chantilly Virginia.

Back in January of 2011, this car was delivered to IMA Motorsports commissioned to build this car for the owner who was in Khandahar locating Bin Laden. During this installation, there was a very extensive amount of research and superior quality parts used, with everything being made here in the USA.

The primary intentions of this particular car / turbo set-up were designed to have a low boost kit, without all the headaches of a high-boost turbo vehicle, giving one the ability to use it as a daily driver, or partial track car. This car has an exhaust note that is quite nice when running high through the RPM's. However, when coasting in a high gear at a constant speed, its hardly noticeable. Its designed to keep quiet when you want it to be. If you have passengers in the car, or talking on the phone. No one will be annoyed with unwanted exhaust drone.

Installation information:

- Installed was a radiator with its own custom design radiator duct made in Carbon Fiber. IMA Motorsports designed and made the plug for the Mold and they hired Crawford Composites(one of the best) to make this a real nice part.

- The inlet and outlet tubing to and from the turbos as well as throttle body was also made in carbon fiber.

- The turbos used were variable turbine nozzle. This means that they will build boost under 3000 and all in by 3200. 5-6 psi.

- The radiator and intercooler are circulated by a water pump that can flow 23 g/min a lot higher than the Bosch pump available for such application which is delivering 5 g/min without head pressure. The water will be carried around with Brown and Miller stainless braided hose with a convoluted Teflon core that will not kink or pinch in tight corners and will also add protection against rubbing. It also looks the part of a nice designed kit.

Quickly after completing the car, it has since been sent to us for sale. The suspension and all cosmetics are factory Porsche Cayman parts. This car never made it to the track after completion, with only IMA test time on the set-up.

This would be the perfect track car! There are many TPC turbo Caymans equipped that struggle in low RPMs. This twin-turbo set up has the main advantage over a single turbo set-up, focusing on low end boost!
